T3K launches the subseries to present a talented newcomer from Lisboa, Portugal:
Neural is only 19 years old but his works are convincing stuff. “Copasetic” (T3K-LTD001) shows Neural`s musical socialization mainly of the Ed Rush/Optical-type of Drum N Bass. It representatively shows the respect of so many young and upcoming artists for those living legends who carved their names into stone with the musical benchmark album called “Wormhole”. Also, T3k demonstrates with this release its diversity in releasing high grade Drum N Bass!

French producers Kenei (busy at the moment with setting up his own label with Brainfuzz) and Eiton (see T3K011: “Pneumo”) form the project “n0te” and they realized a big one called “The Six Names” quite a while ago.
A very heavy midrange-based killer which never was picked up by a label. Kaiza, a big fan of the works of those french artists, always liked the track a lot and wondered about the status of this tune one day and contacted both producers. Kenei was not too font about the idea of releasing the old version and promised other new material to be released on T3K, but switched his opinion some weeks later and remade the track for a new 2009 version: it is a very big honour for T3K to bring you this big work of modulated midrange, rough rhythm and astonishing atmosphere. “The Six Names 2009″ will catch you and take your breath!

After those two nasty dancefloor instruments (see T3K013: “Foreign” and “Pneumator”) by Proton Kid from Brasov, Romania (of Kriotek fame), it is now our pleasure to bring a follow up to you: Proton Kid`s big tune “Pneumator” is put to a VIP version. This one is just an insane piece of wickedness. The sounds remain the same but the structure is that twisted! Definetly worth a check out…

T3K014 is featuring a track called “Dogfight”. This tune was produced by Ogonek and C.V.I. from Vyborg, Russia (they demonstrated their skills on T3K-EXT005 and T3K-EXT006). It is a pounding piece of straight technoid Drum N Bass. Nothing more and nothing less. This one certainly does not miss his aim! This release brings you one of the longtime activists of Eastern Europe: Ogonek is one of the founders of the DNB-scene in Sofia, Bulgaria (head of Metafiziq Recordings and co-founder of well known and very busy HMSU crew which consists of other members like Cooh and Mocks). He is producing for a lot of years now, his first releases came up in 2002! And he is one to watch out for in 2009…

Sinecore, one of the newer faces on the forefront of technoid, dark and hard Belgian Drum & Bass, returns to Tilt-Recordings to delivers a remix of Kriotek‘s “BoRRhot” (originally released as T-FILE011 in 2008). It is very straight forward and technoid to the core, building on the vibe of the original but pushing it to the next level: the remix is free of melodic ballast and has a hard halfbar loop construction just like the original, but the beat sounds are much more compact and the bassdrum arrangement morphs a lot; the lead synth has morphed significantly but is still recognizable and the halfbar bass impulse has changed to a deep rumbling. In the end Sinecore has created a mighty weapon, combining a powerful, seriously technoid drive with playful edits.

T3k brings you the next release (T3K013) and presents an EP consisting of three slammers by Proton Kid from Brasov, Romania. He got massive reputation with his production team “Kriotek” (which is him, Nufojah and Blastphemik) in first place (remember “BoRRhot”, released as T-FILE011). Lately he is doing a lot of solo stuff which also got good feedback. His tracks are released on SCPTX, Monstersound and Ammunition to name a few. “Bisektor”, “Foreign” and “Pneumator” take a direction which can be described best with the words “no remorse”. The implemented driving structure of the bass and mids keep you busy on the dancefloor plus counter-dynamic synth elements, pushing percussion and a clever arrangend beat support the induced need to move. Those tracks will keep you busy!

Two tunes by Kaiza, Try and Error, Isotop and Shots have been released via Abducted Recordings (ABDIG016) on November 13th:

Kaiza feat. Try and Error – “Eon” –> 64 kbps clip
Isotop + Shots + Kaiza – “Relay” –> 64 kbps clip

320 kbps mp3 available on Beatport, Juno, Trackitdown, Digital-Tunes, Beatsdigital

This heavy release is sure to indulge any Drum and Bass enthusiast across the globe. Kaiza, Try and Error’s track, Eon lures you in gently with rolling drums and then begins slowly assaulting your eardrums with Kaiza’s unique blend of bass and synth hits. A sinister melody of twisted sounds that are sure to send any dance floor into a craze. Relay by Isotop, Shots and Kaiza boasts the same brutal technique, but with a slightly different approach. Utilizing a wider variety of sounds such as a heavy reece and multiple one shot hits, they manage to take a more minimalist approach to a very intricate sound design.

Feedback::

Hektik (Owner of Tilt Recordings)

“Relay” is, like all 3-way collaborations between Isotop, Shots and Kaiza, an interesting combination of their different approaches both technically and musically. It is a hybrid between technoid and “minimal” Drum & Bass with a dose of Neurofunk in it. A compact beat with fast paced high end percussions accompanied by a very subtle reece midrange accentuation on a broody hover bassline sets the stage for a playful arrangement of synth stabs and bleeps edited with reverb and other fx. In summary, the three created a soundscape of electronic dance music with characteristics similar to classical dub reggae but in a modern technoid Drum & Bass shape.

T3K brought you several solo tunes from German producer Shots (see T3K002,T3K003, T3K004) and some collabs (see T3K005, T3K007, T3K008). T3K always was very proud to have him onboard and tried to push his name to the minds of other DNB heads. And T3K will be loyal to this man! It has been a while, but now it is time for a furious comeback called “Fahrenheit” which is a collab-track with Kaiza. This one is just about fusing Techno and Drum N Bass in its purest form and if tested on dancefloors you will see that it is built to set them on fire…

Kaiza and Shots are both sick producers, and when coming together they are a force to be reckoned with. Now they have done it again… After their wicked collabo “Purple View” [T-FILE020] and two more tunes just recently released on Ogonek’s label Metafiziq, they return to Tilt-Recordings / T-Files with this simplified, heavy and bouncing Techno-DNB stomper: Aggressive halfbar looptechno, no skulls needed. And it comes in the already well known fashion of bringing two different versions, original and VIP – to serve the principle of variation and variety and to please the Techno-DNB forum VIP crew ;)

This is the debut of Eiton on T3K. He does not produce that many tunes but his unique approach and very kind manner put him into a central position: after his first appearances (“Smok”, unreleased and “Ethanol”, later released on Digital Venom including a Pyro remix), he smashed heads with the ubertune “Kopilot” respected by nearly all known techno-dnb DJs and signed to Impakt Records. “Pneumo” (T3K011) does not stand behind and combines nasty lower ends, pushing beatstructure and a wicked stab-hookline to get you wild.

Two tunes by Kaiza and Shots have been released via Ogonek’s label Metafiziq (MTFZ004D) just now:

Kaiza + Shots – “Pravda” –> 128 kbps clip
Kaiza + Shots – “Betaload” –> 128 kbps clip

320 kbps mp3 available on ithinkmusic, Digital-Tunes, Juno, Beatsdigital.

Review by DJ Hektik (Tilt-Recordings / T-FREE / DMF / Trio-Music, Mannheim):

“Pravda” puts together the best of Kaiza and Shots; it is a 110% Techno
Drum & Bass stepper. The drums, the percussions, stabs and the bassline
form a bouncy and counter-dynamic yet intelligent halfbar loop
construction which is constantly changed and broken up with things like
driving additional ghost bassdrums, many edits and some of these twisted
Shots trademark synths. The result is heavy pressure, the famous
mashhand and a dirty smile.

“Betaload” is psychedelic dance music made by crazy robots for crazy
robots. A bouncy bassline drives a hacked and driving beat through a
strange wonderworld rich of machine-like stabs, fx and different
soundrooms. It is very varied and more the opposite of minimal, and yet
it is hypnotic in a schitzoid way… A rather unusual and experimental,
nonetheless dancefloor-suited tune from Kaiza and Shots.

Yabol from Lodz (Poland) had his debut release on T-FREE in 2007, together with Pylon and Structural. Later that year, Structural made the widely celebrated “M3CH4PL3X Promo Mix 2007” which quickly spread the names of Yabol and his Mechaplex crew mates Soccom, Pylon and Switch Technique in the Techno-DNB scene. Two of their tunes were signed to DSCI4 and others got released on Venom Inc, Sinuous, Prspct, Cyba Drum, Substance, Digital Venom, Sinious Audio, Dark Asylum, Impakt, Ruse, Flight Digital and Zardonic Recordings. Now, Yabol honours T-Files with “The Lawnmover Man”, a powerful and twisted yet deep Techno-DNB stomper. It had already been featured in said Promo Mix in 2007 (which, by the way, is still online and downloadable)… and now, two years later, it is finally unleashed.
