obviously the tunes released on Tilt-Recordings (& T-Files)
(see releases:
vinyl and
digital only)
are no free downloads: they are sold in shops.
however, I still want to associate the label with the DIY, open source
and public domain approaches (as indicated by the existence of the sister netlabel
T-FREE) at least to some degree; rather than with conservative commercial business enterprises and aggressive, interest-based capitalizm.
so, all tunes released on Tilt-Recordings (& T-Files)
are copyright protected, but they are NOT subject to copyright collectives!
this is probably most interesting for DJs living in Germany because the tunes are GEMA-free
(which is a big issue for all electronic dance music scenes in this country).
you can legally play them without having to pay royalties to the GEMA (or any other copyright colective):
on events, in radio shows, mix-CDs, studio-mixes, podcasts etc..
you can also distribute mixes or radio shows with our tunes via promo-CDs and on the internet etc.
it is all ok and easy - unless, of course, you leak our dubs, share or sell our tunes or
sell CDs including them without getting our permission first.
the two logos in differen sizes and solutions can be copied and used for noncommercial purposes
or on flyers (if one of our artists plays on the respective event);
same with practically all things given on this homepage.
you don't have to fear any kind of legal threat unless you offend us
by misusing the logo, tunes, texts and general information.
"misusing" means here: commercial or ideological exploitation without permission.
